When studying finance, you'll use many of the algebraic skills you've obtained from the module review sections. You should be familiar with using properties of numbers and exponents to rewrite expressions and solve equations as you explore problems related to money and interest. But since financial matters certainly involve decimals, this module provides a good opportunity to practice operations on decimal expressions, applications of decimals, and decimal equations. While you've seen decimals before in this course and likely encounter them frequently in the real world, a formal study will be important for understanding the underlying numerical characteristics of finance.
